Here's my first recipe for you to enjoy (that is, if you have Kibo's taste buds):
Art's Nuclear Horseradish Pickles
1 quart jar pickle spears
1 cup white vinegar; room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 cup prepared horseradish
Drain the pickle juice from the pickle jar.
Mix the vinegar and sugar; stir will, until the sugar is dissolved. Add the prepared horseradish. Mix well. Pour the mix over the pickles in the jar; let sit 2 or 3 days.
Munch on some mega good, very hot pickles that will definetely clear your sinuses.
Here's this weeks recipe, nothing wacky, just my favorite comfort food.
Wiblur's Chicken on Toast
1 slice whole wheat bread; toasted
chicken; cooked, broken up or thickly sliced
spaghetti sauce
1 slice cheddar cheese, sharp; enough to cover bread
1 dash Spike seasoning
Spread the spaghetti sauce over the toasted bread; add the chicken (enough to almost cover the whole piece of toast); put the cheese over the chicken, put several shakes of Spike over the top. Put this baby in a toaster oven, or under the broiler in your oven, heat until the cheese is melted and the chicken is warmed up (it helps if you had the chicken at room temperature before you broil it).
Snarf and enjoy!
Note 1: ff you are wondering why I toast the bread first, it's because the sauce tends to soak into the bread and when you get it out, it could be a bit soggy. Not overly appealing!
Note 2: You may be able to find Spike in your local grocery store in the spice section, if not here is a page with info on what it is and where to get it:
