I've gone back and done some more sketching out of Walking With Woodlice. I'm not certain I'll finish it at all, let alone this year, but I finally got some inspiration for a main tune and decided I had to get it down on... well, not paper; silicon.
OK - this looks like the status of the unrecorded Tribute Album songs:
* UK Places With 'Z' In The Name - DONE
* Washing Crystal Balls- DONE
* Walking With Woodlice - Doctroid working on
* Monkey Origami - Major Zed and ?!Charlie working on
* Queen's Blue Peter Badges - ?!Charlie working on
* Ham Sandwich Digestion - no one working on
* Rules Of Naked Petanque - no one working on
Celebrate the diversity of the many artistic interpretations of Interröbang Cartel. One of the best aspects of the band. There is a version for everyone's style!
I have been thinking about Rule of Naked Petanque. But first things first with QBPB.
I actually was able to create the original Blue Peter theme in midi. I need to figure out the base chord progressions underneath but I think it is what I need to make the break interesting.
I also need to go back and look at Monkey as well.
Cool. If you pre-ordered HS 7, you should be getting it very soon. Mine came in today. Picked up all the old instruments. The new Studio Instruments look really nice. I have checked out the new effects processing VST's yet. Of course the UI is different but I rolled into it pretty quickly.

If this were December 31, I'd take what I have for WWW and publish it with few qualms.
It's not December 31, and I think I can improve it a good deal, so I'll do so. But at this point I can assure you I'll have *something* out there before New Year's. (Though maybe there'll be a director's cut in 2009.)
Can you have it a few days early so it can be mastered and put up on last.fm along with everything else that has been finished? That's my plan. Whatever exists at that point is going up between Christmas and New Years Day.
